Description colm.smyth 2005-01-26 13:07:31 UTC
Fetching images, style-sheets and other secondary files should not use the Solar
mutex because it makes the UI freeze while fetching them.

To reproduce, paste a HTML document containing web-based images from a browser
into StarOffice.

Andreas, I guess this one is a duplicate. IIRC you just fixed it in one of your
2.0 CWSs.
Comment 2 Mathias_Bauer 2005-01-30 15:41:43 UTC
indeed this is fixed in CWS maybeb

This is a duplicate only for the images part, the other elements still need to
be handled.

Comment 5 Mathias_Bauer 2006-11-08 08:48:16 UTC
changing target to 2.x

a user in a network I administer reported the following problem:
when pasting parts of web pages into a Writer document and then editing it (she
mentioned removing images and changing text size), all ooo windows freeze and
do not come back in an acceptable time frame (resulting in the application being
killed). Environment: openoffice.org 2.0.2 on ubuntu 6.06 x86 Desktop install,
AMD Sempron and 512 MB RAM

I was not able to determine whether the visible images, spacer gifs or other
parts of the webpage were the most problematic.I would expect ooo to load this
stuff in the background and give up after a short timeout in favor of deniyng
the user interactivity. I do not consider this an ENHANCEMENT but a bug, by the way.
Comment 7 Mathias_Bauer 2008-01-11 10:06:58 UTC
We already fixed the problem for images; rest is still open
Comment 8 Marcus 2017-05-20 11:31:43 UTC
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
