Description frank 2004-10-18 14:29:53 UTC
Excels subtotal function knows two parameter sets. One to include hidden cell
and one to exclude hidden cells. We should act in the same way I think.

Frank,

And the parameters are exactly what?

Comment 2 frank 2004-10-20 16:03:26 UTC
The parameters 1 to 11 does not ignore hidden cells while parameters 101 to 111
ignores hidden cells.

This is for Excel 2003

The set 101..111 is specified in ODF1.2 draft too. Adding ODFF to summary.

The updated site for the excel behavior:

This issue is still affecting version 4.1.1

Thank you for confirming this. I assume you mean that both function numbers, 1 to 11 and 101 to 111 are still not supported. These are now specified for ODF 1.2 OpenFormula the same as for Excel.

PS: The SUBTOTAL parameters specified for ODF 1.2 OpenFormula are not quite the same as those employed for the Excel p1, p2, ..., however. This may be an error in the OpenFormula specification and not in the Apache OpenOffice implementation.

Function numbers 1 thru 11 work fine. It's function numbers 101 thru 111 that are the problem.
At this point I'd be fine if both sets of numbers did the same thing, just so it wouldn't always give the formula errors when I open excel spreadsheets with subtotals.
