Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 32434
SaveAs dialog should display only .html as file extension for "HTML Document"
Last modified: 2004-12-03 13:56:57 UTC
In the past we have shown HTML Document (.html;.htm) in the file open dialog and also in the file save dialog. It makes only sense in the file open dialog but we save only (as default) .html and not .htm. The specification of that is in the URL field and if it is a small, easy to fix issue MIB would be do that in OASIS2 CWS other wise you have to find a CWS on your own.

changed from TASk to ENHANCEMENT
AS->PB: Please take over this task. JS and I discussed the following algorithm: a) ask the TypeDetection service for the list of possible extensions b) use only the first item of returned extension list to show it on the UI c) do the same by adding a default extension if the user used a file name without extension Changing the underlying configuration and using of any explicit order value isnt an option. Because it would lowering our startup performance. Note: We has to change the existing spec, which describe the filter grouping and extension feature ... Feel free to ask me for further informations on this issue. THX. PS: JS decided to set OO Later as new target ... please contact him.
pb: Now we show only one extension in the SaveAs dialog. Not only for the HTML filter, but for all filters. Fixed in cws os38.
pb: back to QA.
pb -> mru: please verify, thx.
pb: fixed.
Ropened.
Reassigned to JSI.
Re-set to "fixed".
jsi->pb: Only in Writer application now the specification matches. In Writer/WEB it does not and we have the old view with two extensions.
Assigning to pb.
pb: I forget that the defaultfilter can have more than one extension too. Now fixed.
pb -> jsi: please verify, thx.
pb: still fixed.
verified in OS38 (8.11.04)
seen okay in m64.
