Description ooo 2004-03-16 22:38:33 UTC
When I change the font size of controls like check boxes and radio buttons
then the check boxes or radio buttons doesn't change their size.

Maybe it is a feature - but then it should be able to customize the size of
the controls as well.

Hi,

controls are developed by the database team, so I re-assign this Issue to them.

? What do you mean with this? You can customize the size by in the "Position an
Size" dialog, can't you?

> Maybe it is a feature
It is. -> assigning to user experience team for consideration

This is ridiculous, 5 years and still no patch. This issue is still present and
very annoying in 3.1.1.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

I too can find no way to change the size of a checkbox. The Height and Width properties have an effect only of adding white space around the checkbox.

The font size should categorically not do this resizing as I would like to have a checkbox of any size I prefer and a label of any font size I prefer, they are not overlapping properties.

But the checkbox should have a property for the size of the box! As should the option button

I bring this topic a little bit up. Hoping any developer will grab it in future.

There are different cases:

1. In a form I want /only/ a checkbox/radiobutton with properties similar to a textbox: hight (=width), border, background, assigning a label.

2. A checkbox/radiobutton with text (label) (i. e. in a simple writer form) should grow/shrink with the text size.

At the moment hight/width of the control sizes the contour of the control but not the checkbox/radiobutton itself.
