Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 14635
List of Issues "by votes"
Last modified: 2003-07-09 20:33:08 UTC
Generate a list of Issues with more than X votes for the OOo project and a list of Issues with more than Y votes for each single project
Created attachment 6284 [details] a first shot. I used 10 for overall and 5 votes for components
started .. a first try is attached
Created attachment 6385 [details] example: sorted by votes, enhanced table layout
Created attachment 6387 [details] shellscript and componentlist
The example for today (05-24) seems to be the best I can get from webinterface. Issues are sorted by votes, but votes ar not displayed (have to enable cookies, don't know how to do that with lynx). The HTML ist not valid, </tr> is missing. to get better results, the script has to be done in a more powerfull language (perl / python ?)
i could run the script weekly and send the plain output to anyone who can put it on the website.
seems to be of no interest -> won't fix
close
I think this is very important. We need to have a "Bug Parade" of the top 50 bugs (and separately, the top 50 RFE's). However, for this to be useful, we must also make it easier for people to vote. For instance, I have the power to reopen this issue, but I don't seem to have the power to vote!
right, i cannot vote for this issue, too. But because i can vote for almost all other issues, this may be a feature of the component. Dan: could you check that with an writer issue?
Looks like users can vote for writer issues. Somebody needs to enable voting for this category of issue. I've opened issue 15728 to directly ask for IssueZilla to allow sorting by number of votes. May as well ask for that, too.
Hi, Issue Voting has to be enabled per component. At the moment only components for projects directly contributing code have voting enabled. If you see a need to enable additional components for voting, please file an issue mentioning those. Please use the component "qa" (you can't vote there :-) Greetings, Stefan
Now that I know the secret, I can generate the list of issues you're looking for without any changes to Issuezilla. See http://www.kegel.com/openoffice/#query.votes
Created attachment 7021 [details] enhanced version (showing votes, better sorting)
opening again, because discussion is ongoing
Created attachment 7116 [details] latest script
I'm going to update http://qa.openoffice.org/iz_votes.html weekly. -> fixed
