Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 124646
Global Audio Control (via Keyboard) is disabled on running Draw (and all other OO components!)
Last modified: 2017-05-20 09:59:46 UTC
I have a volume control button on my keyboard for global audio control. No other Software interferes with that. However, the moment Draw is in focus Global audio control does no longer work. I also have confirmed this to be the case with Writer, Impress and Calc. I put it under viewing since I have not found an otherwise suitable category. If a moderator could put it into the proper category, this would be highly appreciated, thanks. Only if OO Draw is out of focus does the volume control knob work again. This is the case since early OO (I believe 3.0 at least, it might have been already on OO 2.4) First I thought it is a glitch, but I have this now on 3 different keyboards (Medion, Logitech, NoName) and 5 different PC's (Windows XP, Windows 7-32, Windows 7-64 various also newly re-installed) so I can say now it is something to do with OO which seems to catch the Volume control from the keyboard. Thanks for reading
The Samsung laptop I have access to has: Fn+F6 Mute Fn+F7 Decrease volume Fn+F8 Increase volume All cease to function when AOO in focus (checked with Youtube in background). AOO410m16(Build:9762) - Rev. 1585426 2014-04-07 10:29:13 (Mo, 07 Apr 2014) Win 7
