Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 123131
Nothing happens when click any button in 'Restore Windows' message
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:14:52 UTC
Created attachment 81406 [details] Screenshot When application is opened, message board offers two choices: "Don't restore windows." or "Restore windows." Neither choice works. No 'cancel' choice offered. Open Office will not work with message board on top. Tried archiving version to folder and downloading latest version but got same message board blocking use of application. Under it the usual message board about restore files appears. In years of use this has never happened before today. Attachment description: Message board does not respond when either choice is clicked. Restore windows. is default blue. Blue slightly pulses like sleep light on mac. This happened on my prior version 3.4.1 and did not change when I moved it to a folder and downloaded 4.0 and installed 4.0.
a) I already saw that message box, but I can't remember whether I saw that problem with WIN7 @reporter: b) Due to report it seems problem has been observed on Mac? c) Any idea how to get that Message for further tests? d) What evidence do we have to rate this one as a "Writer only" bug?
"Bug 118547 - "restore windows" notification will not close" (DUP of "Bug 119006 - Restore windows problem on Mac OS X") looks similar. That one is said to be fixed 2013-03-26 10:58:57 for 4.0.0?

That one is > said to be fixed 2013-03-26 10:58:57 for 4.0.0? AOO 4.0 has fixes to prevent the CREATION of new savedState files. So if AOO 4.0 is installed and the old savedState files are removed then this problem cannot reoccur.

Comment on attachment 81421 [details] screenshot I am experiencing the same problem with the "Restore Open Window" message. I have followed the same procedures described in re-installing Open Office 4. I saw the comment on "saved-state files." How do I remove them to correct my problem?
I am experiencing the same situation as Michael Dixon in "comment 5." Please advise how to fix "saved-state files."
A possible workaround might be linked in <https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=121963#c2> <https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=120026#c1> For now I will mark all similar bugs as DUP of Bug 119006 Please feel free to reopen that bug if you find out that the workaround does not help you. Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find evidence that we have an independent issue here (for example because the fix / workaround for the other bug does not work for you). *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of issue 119006 ***
