Description Rainer Bielefeld 2013-05-12 06:39:52 UTC
Steps how to reproduce Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.0.0-Dev – English UI / German locale [AOO400m1(Build:9700) - Rev. 1479897 (2013-05-09)]" on WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile:

1. Open new Spreadsheet from AOO Start Center
2. In Functions Wizard select "AVERAGEIF" with double click
   > Related input lines appear in dialog
3. <Help>
Bug: Leads to Help entry, not to function related help
4. Search Help for AVERAGEIF
Bug: No Help text will be found

Same problem with AVERAGEIFS

Confirming. At least some basic explanation should be required for new Calc functions we add with a new release.
Comment 2 jsc 2013-07-02 12:28:40 UTC
I agree that it would be nice to have the help available but it is no showstopper because not critical. We don't have it yet and it would require a new translation cycle.
Comment 3 Andrea Pescetti 2013-07-02 21:13:15 UTC
Setting target 4.x so we don't forget to fix it for the next 4.x release.
Comment 4 Kay 2014-02-06 21:45:18 UTC
OK, I'll take this one as I'm almost done.

help file patch for additional functions

Not an expert on this. The new additions show up in the TOC in the appropriate categories but not index.
Comment 6 jsc 2014-02-07 07:53:12 UTC
I will take care of it but we won't do a complete translation for 4.1
Comment 7 jsc 2014-02-07 08:02:24 UTC
the index will be created during the build or during first start of the office, can't remember. Have to check it
Comment 8 Kay 2014-02-07 21:21:48 UTC
@jsc re tranlsation and index

* I didn't commit these changes because I knew we were past the translation cycle for 4.1 and I thought this might cause problems.

* re index -- it could be some markup options I didn't use, but most of the functions in the statistical category aren't indexed either. I don't know what the decision making process concerning this. Much more to learn.
