when i try to open any part i.e database, text. it just crashes and needs recovery to open and then it needs recovering again and again, i assume you are going to ask me to remove the program from computer and reload from new if so will i lose any work i have already saved?

The symptoms sound like the profile corruption issue we describe in the 3.4.1 Release Notes:

Could you try the fix described at the bottom of that page?  You won't lose any of your documents.

Please let us know if that fixes it.
