For e.g. if we have a word docx document with Calibri fonts in it. Openoffice will replace them with Times New roman even if the font is installed.

This problem doesn't persist with doc documents.

Make a docx file in office 2007 with Calibri fonts in it, and open it in Openoffice.

On Gentoo Linux in my case.

I confirm it for OOo-3.3.0

but fix seems alredy fix in fresh AOO-3.4 develop snapshot

to check see attached file (OpenXML_text_reference_v1_2.docx) 
from http://katana.oooninja.com/w/reference_sample_documents

If it now works then please check the bug as resolved.

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.

This Issue requires more information ('needmoreinfo'), but has not been updated
within the last year. Please provide feedback as requested and re-test with the the latest version of OpenOffice - the problem(s) may already be addressed.

Moving from Unconfirmed directly to Fixed.  But we should verify the fix in the AOO 4.0 trunk build.

I was checking this bug but. I followed the steps and the bugs it was not find. Attached the image about the comparation the AOO 3.4.1 writter and WORD 2007. I recomend to give more information but I think that the problem is different.
