Description drouizig 2010-01-23 13:08:07 UTC
Please could you add "As Soon As Possible" Shimaore, Shibushi and Tahitian to
the list of supported languages.

Those languages are spoken :

* In Mayotte Island (Overseas collectivity of France) for Kibushi and Shimaore.
Mayotte will be soon a full "overseas department of France" in 2011.
see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayotte

The ISO language codes are:
swb-YT for Shimaore (cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shimaore_dialect )
buc-YT for Kibushi (cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bushi_language )

* In Tahiti (French Polynesia)

The ISO language code is:
tah-PF for Tahitian (or "reo Tahiti", cf.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahitian_language )

I may take part in some efforts to bring OO.org spellcheckers for these
languages, in the very short future.

Thanks,
Philippe

Grabbing issue and assigning to spare time account.

FYI: if ISO 639-1 two letter codes exist, those are to be used instead of
639-2/639-3 three letter codes, so it will be ty-PF instead of tah-PF.

We usually use the main names given in the Ethnologue, so it would be Maore and
Bushi, see http://www.ethnologue.com/show_language.asp?code=swb and
http://www.ethnologue.com/show_language.asp?code=buc

Reassigning to QA for verification.

Verified in CWS locales 33.
Bushi, Maroe and Tahitian now available as Western languages.
Note comment of ER above about the correct names. I adjusted the summary accordingly
