MenuItem : edit -> "Edit points" missing from menu

Steps
1> Open calc.
2> view->Toolbars->drawing
3> drag 2-3 objects say circle or rectangles
4> select 2 or more draw objects (need to use shift while selecting)
5> Right click -> "Edit Points" is present
6> But Edit-> "Edit points" is missing.

Note : This could be an issue with "svx" module

jayant_madavi: pls specify OS and Platforms you tested!

I checked with 2.0 (1.9.m125) German version WIN XP: [680m125(Build8947)] and
(1.9.m118) English version WIN XP: [680m118(Build8936)] an can confirm: there is
no "Menu - Edit - Edit Points" available for CALC.

Also there is no toolbar "Edit Points" available.

It is possible  to create that toolbar by "customize", but in the customize menu
I can not find all functions I have in DRAW.

To find out all this it is not necessary to create many drawings, only draw a
straight line in DRAW and also CALC and compare edit possibilities available.

I belive that is a bug an not "wanted limitation", because in WRITER all "edit
points" functions are available (but in WRITER also "Edit - Edit Points" is
missing, but the toolbar is available.

Issue confirmed on Openoffice.org 2.2 on Windows XP. Edit points in Calc is not
working.

Sending a "ping" concerning this issue as this bug is already three years old. I
can confirm this issue in 3.0 release candidate 1.

I consider this issue as "defect" as the button "edit points" is there, but just
not working.

As this feature was already existing in Calc in the pre-2.0 days, I actually
consider this a bug and not an enhancement. 

How difficult is it to solve this issue? Is it again one of the issues that
needs a lot of work being done in the drawing layer or is it just a little bug
that came in with the 2.0 release?

As there was no reply at all to my last comment and apparently no one had a look
at this bug, I feel free to send a little reminder. Here a short summary:

- Please consider this as a Defect and not an Enhancement. This functionality
was there in pre-2.0 days and the icon is still there, but just does not work as
expected.
- As this is working in all other applications, but not Calc, there seems to be
an easy solution.

Isn't this part of the ongoing refactoring of the drawing layer?

Unfortunately, since April 2007 no developer ever replied to this DEFECT. Please
change this issue from 'enhancement' to 'defect'. Moreover, I would be glad
receiving a reply to my question whether there is a really simple solution to
this issue or whether it implies a major refactoring? Thanks.

I am still assuming that a fix for this issue is very quick and simple. Is there
a chance that a developer replies to above questions? I am feeling silly asking
for a reply for over three years...Never mind...
