Description Frank Schönheit 2005-04-13 09:30:31 UTC
The error reporting in the table copy wizard is still not very good, since it
leaves the user without a clue what actually went wrong.

To see this, follow the steps described in issue 47315, to copy a table where
the copy process yields an error.

First problem is that the error message is not really helpful to the user.
Except the fact that there was *some* error, it doesn't tell the user anything -
not at which record the error occured, not what was the underlying driver error
(which could be helpful for diagnostics).

Second problem is that the error message is shown only once, while a later
examination of the copied table shows that in fact two records were not copied.
This is not told to the user in any way, so s/he has no chance noting this
except counting records after copying.
