this file contains a rotated sampleimage

In MS Office rotated images saved in a docx-file
are not shown rotated in openoffice

Create a new Word 2010 document

  - import any image
  - rotate it
  - save it to docx
  - open it with OpenOffice
  - the image isnot rotated

I was able to replicate this error. It did the same for several different images. no alternate steps needed to replicate this error

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.

Word document with rotated images in three different formats.

I was able to replicate the bug in open office and my open office version is 3.4.1 and runs on MS windows 7 Home Premium. I used MS office 2010 to re-create the bug. The steps I followed to re-create the bug were:
1) Created a new word document and inserted an image in it with .jpg extension.
2) The image was then rotated and the document was saved with docx extension.
3) The document was then opened with open office.
4) The image was not rotated.
5) The same was tried with images with .bmp and .gif extension and the image was not rotated when opened in open office.
6) The bug persists even when the word document is saved with an extension of doc.
