    Description

We're using Hive for reading Parquet files, but we would like to move from gzip to zstandard compression. Currently, the Parquet support of Hive is old because we can't upgrade since Parquet is Java 1.8+. Therefore it is a good idea to upgrade Hive as well.

GA support of Java 1.7 is also almost over: https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/java-se-support-roadmap.html
