Major Description
The code to make parallel testing work in HDFS and Common was committed to 2.8.0 and up. It doesn't appear to have been backported to branch-2.7 or earlier. Therefore, there is a high risk that parallel testing on those releases will be spurious. The hadoop personality file should disable parallel testing by default on versions that lack the appropriate patches.
