Description

Many APIs for writing YARN applications have been stabilized. However, some of them have also been changed since the last time sample YARN program, like distributed shell, and documentations were updated. There are on-going discussions in the user's mailing list about updating the outdated "Writing YARN Applications" documentation. Updating the sample programs like distributed shells is also needed, since they may probably be the very first demonstration of YARN applications for newcomers.
