    Description

      When xerces-c is configured with -tIconvGNU, it just doesn't work at all on x86_64. I tried on Fedora Core 5 and CentOS 4.3, xerces-c 2.6 and 2.7. For building, I used the supplied .spec file and just replaced -tnative with -tIconvGNU. While it works fine with -tnative, the same cannot be said about the iconv configuration.

      It doesn't really matter what the file IMEX.xml looks like but for the sake of completenes, that's all there is:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
      <imex>
      </imex>
