          We should consider the submit issue too when adding a button component., coming to a simple yet powerful solution for both button and submit:

          There are different kind of buttons one would use in html:

          • <input type="button" ...>
          • <button ...>
            Also, there are two ways to implement submit:
          • <input type=submit" ...>
          • <button type="submit" ...>
            The second one would, if implemented, satisfy the requirements described in WW-1122, but is known to cause some problem with IE.

          The bottomline is that we should imo have a <ww:button> and <ww:submit> tag, both of which would have an parameter type, which could have one of the values "input" (default) or "button", eg:
          <ww:submit type="button" .../>

          Comments?

          Toby: If this proposal sounds reasonable & if you like, I could take over this issue since I am involved with WW-1122.

          <ww:submit ..>
          now knows the attribute type="button", resulting in a <button type="submit" ...> html output. If provided, label parameter will be used for button face text, value parameter otherwise.

          But now <button type="submit" ...> html output does not include the enclosed content inside, please take a look at https://issues.apache.org/struts/browse/WW-1677
