There has been a vote in dev@ mailing list to promote few of the experimental modules to stable state - http://markmail.org/message/arfictd3txyx53nq

The outcome is that bean validation, cdi 1.1 and native web sockets modules will be part of the modules with stable API in Wicket 6.14.0.
