Description

SYMPTOM:

SQL>execute xx;

• • • ERROR[8421] NULL cannot be assigned to a NOT NULL column. [2014-05-13 21:44:08]

DESCRIPTION:

Query: insert ... select query returned error 8421.

The workaround is to set: cqd PCODE_OPT_FLAGS '28'; [i.e. disable Native Expressions]

NOTE: Problem found on SQ platform, but could just as well occur on Trafodion.

Fix will be in PCodeOperand::storeNullJitValueAndBranch() in ExpPCodeOptsNativeExpr.cpp
