Description
Based on discussions elsewhere for thrift on fedora (they were on version 0.9.1) here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1385702
It was suggested that if the thrift project build packages for fedora it would improve adoption on rpm based systems. They also said that currently the only thing in the distribution that uses thrift is accumulo.
There is a rpm .spec file in contrib/ that should be promoted and maintained.
