          Use the cmake build system to generate a Visual Studio 2010 project. It will contain the libevent async stuff if you have it set up properly. Look inside build/wincpp to learn more about running cmake to generate a visual studio project. The static projects will be removed at some point because they are hard to maintain, while generating a project is a little more work up front for the consumer, it is almost self-maintaining.

          Undoing this resolution, I see now this is for a patch that was submitted that has an alternate implementation which isn't in mainline.
