      Description

      The following construct seems to be fairly common when you want a DirectLink to call a listener in another page:

      <a jwcid="@DirectLink" listener="ognl:requestCycle.getPage('OtherPageName').listeners.otherListenerName">caption</a>

      It'd be nice if you could specify a listener in another page, something along the lines of:

      <a jwcid="@DirectLink" page="OtherPageName" listener="otherListenerName">caption</a>

        i'm -1 on this. I don't think Tapestry should promote this kind of usage.

        However, there's a far better way for this, if you decide to stick with it.
        Create a new binding, let's say extListener that will be used like this:

        listener="extListener:OtherPageName.otherListenerName"

        Just take a look at
        org/apache/tapestry/binding/ListenerBindingFactory.java and
        org/apache/tapestry/binding/ListenerBinding.java
        and you'll create your new binding in no time !
