Description
The feature is to allow notation like the following external definition ../../common/module1@RELATIVE module1 in order to peg an external to the revision of the folder owning the the external property. Without such a "relative" peg the external revision would need to be manually pegged specifically to the revision at each code change or a future retrieval of the project at a given revision would export/checkout the externals at the head revision. Without such a feature it is cumbersome and error prone to get the exact code state at a required revision, as it either will have required careful manual management at commit time, or will require manual intervention at export/checkout time to ensure externals are set the correct revision.
