Description

James Hanley <jhanley_at_DGtlRift.com> sent a proof-of-concept patch to
implement user defined command extensions for the core.  There were no comments
to the patch on the dev@ list.  Although just a conceptual patch, I'm filing an
issue so the idea doesn't get lost.
