Differentiate single revision range reverse merge notifications

    XMLWordPrintableJSON

Details

    Description

As epg noted in issue 2828 the notification when merging a revision and reverse
merging it are the same, e.g.:

      >svn merge -c5 %URL%/A merge_tests-1\A_COPY
      --- Merging r5:
      U merge_tests-1\A_COPY\B\E\beta

      >svn merge -c-5 %URL%/A merge_tests-1\A_COPY
      --- Merging r5:
      G merge_tests-1\A_COPY\B\E\beta

The former is fine, but the latter is misleading at best. We should change the
single rev reverse merge notification to better reflect what is occurring:

      >svn merge -c-5 %URL%/A merge_tests-1\A_COPY
      --- Merging r5 through r4:
      G merge_tests-1\A_COPY\B\E\beta

And while I haven't confirmed this yet, it's probably(?) going to be a lot
easier to change the "normal" single rev merge notification too:

      >svn merge -c5 %URL%/A merge_tests-1\A_COPY
      --- Merging r4 through r5:
      U merge_tests-1\A_COPY\B\E\beta
