Tika DIH example configuration points to a file that does not exist in binary releases

    Details

      Description

      When running the DIH example, select core "tika", and click data import.
      Click the button "Exectute" and you will see an error:

      Indexing failed. Rolled back all changes.
      Requests: 0, Fetched: 0, Skipped: 0, Processed: 0
      Started: less than a minute ago, Rolledback: less than a minute ago

      This is because the file the import handler is configured to import
      url="../contrib/extraction/src/test-files/extraction/solr-word.pdf"
      no longer exists

          The file is actually present in a source checkout (and source distro too I imagine), but I suppose you're running from binary distro, daniel shchyokin?

          Sorry for the issue churn .. this looked like a dup, but then i realized it's actaully just a report of something that showed up in the comments after and older issue was resolved.

          the distrinct problem here is that the tika example does not work if you downloda a binary release, because the file in question isn't in the binary release – and nothing about hte README or any other docs susggests that it will only work in a source release.

          I copied that PDF into exampledocs (yes, it's now the third copy we have of this in the source tree) to allow it to evolve stand-alone from the test file(s).

          While in there, I fixed the "solr" example, as it broke with version coming from the source core. I also tidied up the README.txt for the DIH examples adding in "tika".
