      Yes! I haven't really followed block join support and could get to know it via reading unit tests and their config files. But if it is integrated in the main example, it would safe me and everyone else some time

      I might be wrong here but to me it seems that

      {!child}

      queries don't work when root field is not stored (return all indexed documents).

      SVN commit which is referred to in the original description (r1513290) has root field with stored="true" in schema. However r1520082 has stored="false". And this remains so in latest Solr releases.

      So I am making a conclusion that distributed "solr" example actually doesn't properly work with block joins.

      Or maybe I should open a new issue for this?
