      Description

      The update framework in Solr 1.2 causes twice as many log statements to be output.
      This will have an adverse performance impact for people adding a single doc at a time.

      Example:

      INFO: added id=

      {VA902B}

      in 0ms
      Jul 5, 2007 1:36:52 PM org.apache.solr.core.SolrCore execute
      INFO: /update 0 0
      Jul 5, 2007 1:36:52 PM org.apache.solr.handler.XmlUpdateRequestHandler update

        the "added id=

        {VA902B}

        in 0ms" is now priinted out in UpdateRequestProcessor - it has its own Logger, so the detailed output could be configured independently.

        or it could be log.fine();
