Description

Often times web apps end up making outbound network calls to other services while processing a request. It has proven to be extremely useful to have those calls be explicitly measured, to understand how the total response time is being spent across systems and identify the performance bottlenecks. A natural place for such timing info would be the existent request progress tracker log.
