Description

Currently,hadoop yarn Capacity Scheduler provides a YarnAuthorizationProvider interface.Ranger yarn-plug-in can implement this interface.
Also Ranger supports the json packet parsing of Capacity Scheduler.
However,ranger does not support Fair Scheduler.

Increased functionality:
Ranger supports the json packet parsing of fair scheduler.
Hadoop yarn Fair Scheduler will also provide a YarnAuthorizationProvider interface.
Ranger Yarn plugin adds authority control by fair scheduler, it relies on the fair scheduler pluggable licensing feature patch that hadoop yarn supports.
