Description
Switch to using slf4j-simple for the example (used essentially to suppress the warning about not having any logging impl binding for SLF4J; there is typically no specific slf4j-based logging shown while running the examples). Related, remove Log4J and the related SLF4J binding from the "lib/optional" subdir of the binary convenience download assembly; it wont actually be used without manually adding it to the classpath, and we dont actually provide instruction anywhere to do that, folks that want it can get it directly. Similarly for the tests, switch to slf4j-simple as our test usage is appropriately simple to make being consistent nicest.
