      Description

The Dispatch Router can operate in one of three major modes. This enhancement allows the mode to be configured in the configuration file and affects the behavior of the router.

      Mode Description
Standalone The router acts as a single standalone router, forwarding messages among its directly connected clients. A standalone router will not participate in the discovery protocol and will not collaborate with other routers.
Interior The router acts as an interior router in a network of routers. It will discover and collaborate with the other routers in the network.
Edge The router will act as a connection concentrator with an uplink into a network of interior routers.
