Description

QPID-4033 added a numeric identifier to each connection established by the client in order to allow naming the Dispatcher threads in a manner which could be distinguished between connections, aiding log analysis by avoiding name overloading.

This ID should be logged with the associated local and remote address after each successfull (re)connection, as it will provide useful information when trying to match client application behaviour with broker behaviour during incident analysis, allowing more granular identification of the [TCP] connections and threads involved at a given time.
