      Description

      On Fedora 17, or any compiler that uses the C++11 standard, the existing test fails to compile with errors like:

      /home/mcpierce/Programming/Qpid/qpid/cpp/src/tests/Uuid.cpp:51:165: error: narrowing conversion of ''\37777777672'' from 'char' to 'unsigned char' inside { } is ill-formed in C++11 [-Werror=narrowing]
