Shell commands can be used in pig scripts, for eg to set HOME directory.

      %default HOME `echo \$HOME`

This feature is very useful and should be documented.

The document is there in http://pig.apache.org/docs/r0.11.1/cont.html#Examples-N1060D. But the back ticks is erroneously show as single quote. PIG-3158 fixed that.
