Description

The java source code in the parquet-format repo has been deprecated for around ~6 years: https://github.com/apache/parquet-format/commit/23d40730ba1641799929f9884bf3ade5292affcf. It has been moved to parquet-mr too. As discussed at the meeting / on the thread, we should clean this up.
