Adding Germany (de_DE) Labels for "Quote" (!= "Offerte")

    Details

    • Type: Improvement
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Minor
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: Release Branch 10.04, Trunk
    • Fix Version/s: Trunk
    • Component/s: framework
    • Labels:
    • Environment:

not required: xml configuration file change

      Description

As described on the German Translation WIKI Page (https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Dictionary+for+translations+to+German), the lingo "Offerte" in Germany for a english Quote is unsual and mostly considered old-fashioned. I have therefore added a locale de_DE entry for occurencies of this.

Additionally, labels containing one of the following have been added in Germany-lingo as well:

      • Quote Item = Angebotsposition
      • Work Effort Quote = Angebot für A(rbeitsa)ufwand

Patch applied to trunk, thanks for your contribution!
(But I think we should move the "Offerten" labels to 'de_CH' and the "Angebot" labels to 'de', I'll do it later)

Your patch did remove some OrderOrderQuoteTerm* labels which I moved back.
I left out two changes for the Italien translation, if they were intended I'll change them.

          Hi Christian,

no, not on purpose. It seems JIRA will only accept one patch per issue. Thus
I could not lag the two patches for r10.04 and trunk individually. Please go
          ahead; this is granted.

          Regards

          Carsten

The actual patches are missing the "Licensed for inclusion in ASF works" check, but I guess this was not done on purpose?

This is the latest patch for the framework/common/config *UiLabels.xml files.
The patch fixes / adds config elements against the latest trunk of this subpart of the project.

Actually, picking up the issues again after an extended break, I have decided to move ahead as follows:

+ close the potentially duplicate JIRA issues – DONE
+ review additions against latest release of CommonEntityLabels.xml (rev 893894)
+ include other UI label files underneath framework/common/config as well, namely:
          – CommonErrorUiLabels.xml
          – CommonUiLables.xml
          – PrefErrorUiLables.xml
          – TemporalExpressionsUiLables.xml

CommonEntityLabels will also include the Industry-standard translations to DE of the Points-of-Title-Transfer terms instead of "free translations".

Both issues were worked on in parallel. Since they are both manifesting in the CommonUiLabels.xml file, 2862 will be resolved when the patch for 2861 is committed.

It's now gotten much more. Actually, this is the complete patch for all missing CommonUiLabels, Locale=de found in the latest trunk.

I just wanted to make you aware of the document. I don't speak German, so I can't judge the quality of your patch. I will leave that to a German-speaking committer.

well, I browsed through the page ßß find it good, added some comments.
Most importantly, all the Jira issues mentioned are committed to the TRUNK
allready, so I presume I reallz have identified mor (new) labels that have
not yet been considered for translation ...
Is the more preventions I should take? Or would I leave it to the committer
          to check/test further now?

          Regards

          Carsten
