Hi Chris (good to see you back ),

I'm not quite sure, but I think we prefer to not have anything OOTB in hot-deploy. Could not your component fits in specialpurpose ?

Attachment fixes the whitespace. I was torn between putting in specialpurpose because it requires an API key and party because it's usefulness is in contact management. I put it under hot-deploy so that others could make that determination and wouldn't have to go back and mess with the change a specialpurpose patch would have done to specialpurpose/componentload.xml

        Chris,

David's answer on dev ML is pretty clear

There should never be any OOTB components in hot-deploy. It is just an empty directory that is a placeholder for custom extensions that people want to use either their own or from somewhere else outside of the main ofbiz project).

I guess my point wasn't clear. I'm not intending it to stay in hot-deploy. I'm looking for direction.
