Deployed the artifacts and also added the maven-source-plugin in the npanday-release profile

this would be a good thing to include in the next release if we can.

I know how sources artifacts are generated. The issue ask that npanday project deploy the sources artifacts when the main artifacts are deployed and let those artifacts available from npanday repo.

Have you tried configuring maven-source-plugin to do this?

A quick test might be to build with "-P release" – if the default release profile is still in there, it will do -sources and -javadoc jars. (The latter should just be empty as it won't find anything to process.)
