[NETBEANS-615] Cannot run java application from IDE

Description

I created the following class:

public static void main(String[] args) {
        
        System.out.println("java version: " + System.getProperty("java.version"));
    }

It compiles correctly and I can  execute it from coammand line with java.

If I try to run it from the ide a new .class file is generated which contains RuntimeException as the first line.

I double checked the configuration and found nothing wrong.
