[NETBEANS-20] New/different behaviour when quitting IDE with a Maven application running

Description

Not sure whether this is a bug, a temporary feature or a new feature.

NetBeans 8.2

1. Open IDE
2. Run Maven Java/Swing application
3. Try to close the IDE
4. A dialog "Exit IDE" appears

Netbeans 9

1. Open IDE
2. Run same Maven Java/Swing application
3. Close the IDE
4. The IDE terminates but the Java application is still running

Important notes

• This behaviour is specific to Maven projects (a NetBeans project in NB9 will terminate when closing the IDE, without warning)
• It happens using the bundled Maven or an external Maven installation (same behaviour)
