Description

Our Nemo code currently fails to build on later Java versions, (probably due to deprecation in java-grpc library that is used by the protobuf library). We keep the protobuf library version to 2.5.0 to keep it in sync with REEF, but as protobuf2 is quite old, we could consider upgrading it to protobuf3.
