      adding metadata makes it much more convenient to use MyFaces with specialized JSF editors.

        This issue was solved when myfaces-builder-plugin was introduced. Form 1.1.6, 1.2.4 and 2.0.0-alpha, myfaces ships a file called myfaces-metadata.xml that has all information used to create components/converters/validators.
