[MSITE-192] Docs don't indicate where site.xml should be created

Description

In the docs available at http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-site-plugin/examples/sitedescriptor.html, it says that a site descriptor can be created to modify the site generated.

Nowhere in the docs does it say where in the project tree the site.xml file must be created, nor does it say whether the location of this file can be modified should the project layout be non standard.
