Ubuntu, I have seen the error in xenial, yakkety and zesty.
Description
During `$ nvm package` I'm getting this error:
[ERROR] Plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-resources-plugin:2.6 or one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Failed to read artifact descriptor for org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-resources-plugin:jar:2.6: Could not transfer artifact org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-resources-plugin:pom:2.6 from/to central (https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2): Host name 'repo.maven.apache.org' does not match the certificate subject provided by the peer (CN=repo1.maven.org, O="Sonatype, Inc", L=Fulton, ST=MD, C=US) -> [Help 1]
This looks to be a problem on your end where the certificate served is for
repo1.maven.org but I'm connecting to repo.maven.apache.org.
Here's the full log:

I'm not sure what else to debug on my side, but if you tell me what other info would be useful, I'll add it.
Thanks
