Description

Building projects with maven 3.0.5 I regularly get "ProtocolException: The server failed to respond with a valid HTTP response" when resolving dependencies from repository.sonatype.org. From what I can tell this is caused by a bug in httpclient, which I reported as https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCLIENT-1340
