Description

there are some lingering things to be cleaned up:

• the CLI should be upgraded to a newer commons-cli, or perhaps plexus-cling?
• the messages files are out of date. keep whatever is used, but possibly just eliminate until proper internationalisation is done
• look through some of the old plugin and lifecycle phase stuff that no longer exists - there may be classes left over. IDEA inspector may help.
