Description
Background:
The MQTT processors are untested and known to be unstable. We suspect, that setting up secure connections is currently broken and it is quite likely that there are other problems as well.
As we do not know much about what potential use-cases there are for MQTT, my recommendation is that whoever starts with the implementations first spends a considerable amount of time on understanding this protocol and its use-cases, finding a containerized solution for a broker implementation that adheres to them and plans the potential tests before even touching the code. Also starting with compatibility (platform for the docker frame/CI job) tests and checks before writing the tests is recommended.
Acceptance criteria:
The person picking up this task should investigate and propose tests and verify it with aboda.
